I grow Red Fife for milling and seed keeping. A neighbor grows Turkey Red. Red Fife is very dependable and the bakers love the nutty taste. I keep seed and it seems to improve every year. seed keeping is food security. No wonder that the Soviet system failed. I'm going to reread the book!
