Thank you so much Alex. No shame in not knowing. You're curious and that's, a Mary Karr says, the best tonic for fear. We may get the writing group going soon (finger's crossed)--I'll email you asap if that happens! Would love to see you again
Sometimes small is just what the world needs to plant the seeds of change. I’m focused on helping regenerative farmers get grants for infrastructure like cleaners and mills to create direct to consumer paths of revenue and eliminate the extractive elements of our food chain so that we can start putting money in the hands of those that are doing the work and deserve it. I love your writing style, happy Sunday! Also as my wife will tell you, I refuse to “grow up”
Refuse to grow up and give up! I love you Marc--your vision, energy, integrity, and strength. I can't wait for our project and am so honored we're doing it together
In parallel to "The Unsettling of America", this is a telling account of the industrial take-over of our land, our food and no small part our lives. Thank you Graison.
Thank you for sharing this. I have been aware of Monsanto's seed patenting for a while. The industrialization of food has caused so many problems. It's like we are watching a similar take over with tech companies. They are taking government money (tax payer money) for everything from land to banking to outer space . They will all be sitting on the stage tomorrow. We need to be shaken up, because "This land is your land, this land is my land....this land was made for you and me."
Love you Amy, thank you. Monsanto (well, not called that now since their takeover) makes Roundup about 20 miles from New Orleans--Happy Mardi Gras y'all!
I read what you're speaking about in Chomsky decades ago--how defense contractors mined the "free" research of NASA to make defense systems, missiles, drones, etc. Here's the link: https://nsarchive2.gwu.edu/NSAEBB/NSAEBB509/
Wow, that was insightful as a first read of the day - and so fitting. Happy inauguration indeed. Thank you for this historical & wheatfull enlightenment. Yes we can.
This has been happening in northern New Mexico, with old landrace varietals being trialed and distributed locally on a small scale. Look at the website for Owl Peak Farm for more information. I buy my flour from them and it’s outstanding.
Absolutely loved reading this Graison - super interesting
Thank you; my purpose is to share stories which aren't easy, sexy, simple, or inane. Thanks for having the curiosity to keep these stories in motion
That was a riveting and incredibly informative read. I’m ashamed to say I knew nothing about Land Grant schools before this piece. Well done.
Taking those seeds you planted of resilience and not letting go of what others consider childish dreams with me into this new year.

Thank you Richard. I don't know that piece, but I'll look it up and read it his weekend. My sincere thanks-

Wow! That was very informative. Thank you for opening our eyes to what has happened to the wheat farming industry. You've got a gift in your writing.
Thank you very much Vicki. It's very kind of you. I appreciate your support so much
